It has been a while since the last update, so here is a summary. Koen Schalkwijk is back from Philadelphia and we’ve been in the Bauer Studios again to record our second album. Everything went well and the album will be released on neu·klang records in October.
We also made new photos. The photos were shot analogously on roll film by Tom Gerhardt in the Clouth Works Cologne.
Furthermore, Koen Schalkwijk was featured in a portrait in the Dutch Jazzism magazine (issue March/April). You can find the article on our facebook page.
Finally we added a few gigs in Berlin and Oranienburg in July and October. More to come!

Our pianist Koen Schalkwijk will spend the time from the end of August until December in Philadelphia as part of his masters program. This means, Torque Trio will take a break. We’ll be back next year!
Torque Trio will appear on the Dutch tv show Vrije Geluiden. The show was recorded in the Bimhuis in Amsterdam and features two performances of the trio and an interview with Koen Schalkwijk. Don’t miss it!
